I bought DS3 an amber necklace approx 2 weeks ago - must admit, I did a google search on amber necklace deaths as a token effort at "research". Nothing came up. Having said that, now that I've got one I can't really figure out how the necklace could be dangerous if used with a commonsense approach. The double knotted ones look safe, and other than that I've been schooling my older boys on not pulling on DS3's necklace. DS3 has his on 24/7 (albeit he got a heat rash under his chin/neck area a few days ago so it's off at the moment in case it's irritating him).
