hi, this morn i had my 1st health visit. ds is 12days .
anyhow she made the commeny that ds fontanelle is small and will have to watch it. if closes to early he may need to see a paeditrician.. anyone else gone thru this. ta
I was told the same thing when my DD was born. We ended up having an appointment at the hospital when she was a couple of weeks old to check it again, and then we had another appointment when she was 3 months old to check her head and make sure it was growing properly. Basically, she was fine and her head was fine. This sort of thing is usually checked by the paed before you leave the hospital, as part of the routine check all babies get before discharge - so if it was a concern it should have been mentioned then. Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about it, just keep an eye on it as the nurse said.
Ta guys, the MCHN said that she didnt want to worry me, that all is ok, but she thought she should mention it.. we will see what comes of the nxt MCHN visit nxt week
