DD had / has this problem. After it reocurred alot, I took her to the dr. He said it was some thing called 'vaginimus' (sp?) or something like that. Basically it is where a little dirt or sand (often miniscule) gets embedded into the vagina (usually around or in the uretha) and causes an infection. Aparently it is extremly common in toddlers and young children, who may play in sandpits, or jus outside in the backyard. We were given som antibiotics to clear up the infection and some cortisol cream (her special bum cream) to help with the redness and tenderness.
Take her to the dr and get her checked out![]()
