Strollers?
Hi girls! I am looking for some recommedations on a good stroller to buy. I currently have a Valco pram and although it is good for all the walking I do, it is terrible because it is huge! We go away for weekends quite alot and it takes up so much room in our boot, so I am looking for a good stroller.
I just my main needs would be -
- something fairly compact when folded down
- ability to recline the seat
- maybe a storage basket

and not too expensive! I've been having a look at some on the net, and there is some gorgeous ones but so much money! Seeing as we spent $600 on the pram and I constantly tell DH I don't really love it, I'll have a hard time convincing him to spend a huge amount. I am thinking between $100-$160 ish?

So if you have a stroller you like, please let me know. Oh and which store you got it from. We live in a fairly regional area so I'll be travelling to buy one.

i recently bought a stroller for same reason of boot space and weight, I bought the Mclaren Vogue which was more than you wanted to pay. I got it for $274 but have seen it for up to $388 so got a great deal.

It does recline to basiclly flat, easy top fold, packs farely small, has a basket but hard to get to if pram reclined.

I bought the Steelcraft Pheonix.I paid $125 a few weeks ago and it has a storage basket,a bag attatched for things like your wallet,mobile,keys etc. It is suitable from newborn up to about 18kgs I think so it does recline.
There are new colours out now and I think they sell for about $160 or so. I bought last seasons colour so that why I was able to get it a little cheaper.

Mrscricket, I have a steelcraft holiday stroller that I bought from either Kmart or BigW (think it was Kmart) and it folds down really compactly, has the basket underneath, multiposition layback, and is quite light. It sells for under $100 usually and is a great buy.

I have the steelcraft profile was about 150 fairly compact. lays flat for newborne, has a boot cover (foot muff thing).

I have the steelcraft profile and for a stroller I think I'd prefer something even more compact though. It is good as it has full layback and a bumper bar though. We used it from birth and it's been excellent. The basket is pretty pokey.
