well dd2 is 7 1/2 months and just under 8kg. she is in a rearward facing seat. my plan (after reading threads about car safety on bb) was to keep her reverse for as long as possible. however, she is struggling, stretching out her arms and legs, not bending to sit so her legs go stiff and she ends up standing in seat, pulling at my hair, clothes, arms, seat belt, crying and screaming when i try to get her into the car seat. at first i thought it was a phase and she would just stop but it has been going on for a couple weeks now. what am i supposed to do? if i turned the seat around i am sure it would solve this problem.
I can't remember what the reccomendations are. DD was doing the same thing at about the same age. I turned the car seat around and it fixed the problem. GL
Hmmm, that's a toughie. Have you tried handing her a snack to distract her while putting her in her seat? Food alway distracted my boys when they were babies
I personally would leave her RF. what about make a game of it.. Like fly like an aeroplane or something. Or mabe give her a toy to distract her.. climb into the car holding her and then put her in the seat. all the while maybe singing or talking about where you are going ...
