    Teeth grinding

DD (4) has started grinding her teeth when she's asleep. I didn't think it was that bad till she slept in my bed and kept me up ALL night. It was awful and the noise - OMG! It makes me cringe just thinking about it!

Has anyone elses kids done this? Do you think I should take her to the Dentist to get some kind of mouth piece?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rachel,

I don't have kids yet, but i used to grind my teeth as a toddler and only recently stopped a few years ago... so i've been told!

But, my teeth are fine, i've never had any tooth problems at all, if that's reassuring?!

If it's bothering you though, try and get a mouth piece, but if it doesn't bother your DD she should be ok!

My ten month old grinds his teeth and it drives me completely insane!!!!
Don't really know what to do either as he is so young.
I know it is really annoying.

My little boy has just started grinding his teeth. He has a few friends around the same age that do it to. We have discussed this endlessly and we thought they probably just like the noise it makes, and if they get a reaction from you, all the better (my son laughs if I try to stop him). So we are trying to just leave it be and hope that it's just a faze until the next interesting thing comes along.

She does it when she is asleep though, never when she's awake. She doesn't know she's doing it which makes it hard to stop her

I'd ask a dentist, but maybe a mouthgauard!???
Indah ground her teeth fora while (when awake) but because DH kept tel;ling her to stop & made a big deal of it she continued, til I made him promise to ignore it, she soon stopped!!!
