    Exclamation Teething

    Hi all,

    What ages did your little ones get teeth and how fast do they come through!

    My little one who is nearly 7mths old is teething and although she has her moments every now and again she is not too bad, i have heard horror stories about teething and i hope that doesnt happen to me!

    If someone can give me a little advise on teething this would be great.

    Hi Jen,

    DS started teething reasonably early...He got his first tooth around 6 Months, by 12 months he had all but his back molars, which he is cutting now It usually took a couple of days to show the tip of the tooth, and a week or two sometimes for it to be thru totally. He would also cut 4 at once. Two in the beggining, then four.

    Poor lil mites, it must be horrible for them....

    These are the things i noticed with him when he is teething;

    Clingy and very grizzly
    Very red cheeks
    Lots of Dribble
    Lots of chewing on hands or dummy
    Lots more poo
    Nappy Rash
    Rashes on cheek and or body (But any sus rash i would get checked)
    Goes off food and or bottles
    A lil bit sicky vomiting
    Waking up throughout the night

    To help him relieve it I give him;

    A Cold flannel to suck on
    Cold teething rings
    Dymadon (only as directed of course) and usually only when he is quite bad
    Bonjella
    Rusks to chew on
    My Finger to chew on!!

    Good luck....It isnt too bad...for mum anyway You'll get thru it!

    Talking A Big Thanks

    THANKYOU ALLY,

    That is a great help and i now know it is definately teething for sure.

    I agree it must hurt soooo much for them and not knowing why it hurts so much must be very annoying to them.

    I will be taking in your tips that's for sure, thankyou once again and i look forward to chatting more.

    No problems at all I am sure the ladies will have some more advice for you too!

    Personally, I think it is better that they get the teething over and done with earlier than later.. I have a friend who has a daughter the same age as my lil man (16 Months) and she has only 2 teeth still. She is having a very rough time...

    I hope its smooth sailing for you

    Emma got hers at 10 months, she was generally grumpy & got the worst nappy rash ever! The next morning a little toothy peg popped through - to my relief!
