DD is driving me insane! She will NOT sleep with a blanket on.
I've tried a sleeping bag, but all that does is wake her screaming in frusteration coz she can't kick it off.
I've tried layers of clothes, but stripping naked is our latest skill. Every night I fight to dress her & no matter what i put on, its all off with in 10 minutes. Redressing a sleeping stripper without them waking isn't easy, I promise you!

I currently have my R/C heater on 30 degrees all night long. I HATE having it over the recommended 24, but I gotta do something to keep this kid warm! DS & her usually sleep in my bed, which means both DS & I are getting woken through the night coz we're cold. The heater helps, but its still cold in here when its minus's outside!! Its certainly not warm enough for nakedness.

DS was the same, but he was a tummy sleeper. As long as he was well asleep, he wouldn't notice the blanket on. Putting it on wakes DD if I'm not careful.

She's on ABs for a chest infection & I can't see it getting better when I can't keep her warm! Telling her to leave her clothes on makes her more determined to get them off

Anyone got any miracle answers?

Can you try her in Pjs put on backwards so she can't reach the buttons/zip?

Rohan is the same but living in Cairns means I can get away with it a bit more. Our coldest nights are around 11 degrees. But yes, Rohan refuses blankets & wakes if you put them on. I bought a couple of cotton full body suits and that seems ok

How frustrating! I wish I had some answers, DS is the same, although he doesn't undress himself, so he stays warm while I freeze because he has to pull my shirt up and push the blankets off

I like the idea of a heavy weight onesie (polar fleece etc) on backwards, my ds will stay dressed but kicks his blanket off and these onesies keep him warm with pjs/singlet/socks underneath. You could also try securing the zipper shut? A mini zip tie and a small hole at the top of the onesie?

Ahhhhh so frustrating!! Both mine have been like this. Although they don't take their clothes off at night at least. I dress DD2 in a wondersuit with flanelette PJs over the top and then she gets into bed with us an kicks all the blankets off us so we're freezing and she's toasty warm, ahhhhhh

With my blanket kickers I did put them in sleeping bags, but I either bought the ones you can unzip the feet or I cut a slit at the feet so they can put their feet through. Or a good dressing gown might do the trick.
And no socks- my blanket kickers were doing so because their feet were getting too hot in the middle of the night.

I have one of those....

Last winter I bought a blanket sleeper and it was a lifesaver so I bought him some more this year! The one I got is rated 2.5 tog.

They have some new ones out that don't have feet in them if it's a "doesn't like feet covered" issue.

DS2 is a nightmare with blankets so he sleeps in the all in 1 polar fleece suits. He also likes to strip off but seems to be ok with these suits.

I used to put a long sleeve onesie on and the Snugtime polar fleece highest tog rating for winter for DD. None of my kids every slept under blankets as babies only the onesies and snugtime suits until they were in a bed.

We have the polar fleece onsies too, we got them from Target, they have a little cover over the zip so she cant undo them. So far, working well

I'll have to have a look around & see what I can find. Til then I'll put the onsie on with a tight jumper or shirt. Though she's a little houdini... got her jumper over her head in the car seat yesterday... but got stuck like that
She does zippers & studs, but I do have a couple without feet in them, so will try them backwards. They're pretty thin though, so not gonna help much with warmth, but better than nothing.
The sooner I can convince her to sleep in her own bed the better! (All night would be even more fantabulous!)
