Why do people think this is ok? DS is nearly 5 months and mil has her hands in his mouth every time she sees him. Tonight I left her with him for a couple of minutes while I left the room and when I came back she's giggling with him sucking all over her hand and saying "ooh he just wants to suck my hand!!" He is at that age where EVERYTHING goes in his mouth. He doesn't actually want to suck on your hand. DP said not to do that with dirty hands so she just said they are clean and carried on. Then we left. I hate it though it drives me nuts! Next time she has a cuddle I'm just going to say no hands/fingers in his mouth. But grrr why should I even have to! And why should I have to worry about offending people? I'm the one who will have to care for him when he gets sick! People should just know it's unnecessary! He has teething rings and his favourite Sophie to slobber and chew on! I don't even let him chew on my hands!
