I must be strange. Paris ate with us from the time she had finger food LOL! Even if it was just to be *at* the table. We would give her something to play with if she wasn't eating, just so that she would get used to the time spent sitting at the table. I have never been a big fan of two eating times, unless of course its baby food But I think the earlier you start the easier it is to transition into eating dinner when they are toddlers. Dinnertime shouldn't be a battle field and even if they aren't eating with you (due to those ups and downs with their appetite), they can still socialise with the adults and interact with them as a family. Which I think is really important, and also helps to prevent the idea of dinner time being a chore about food iykwim?

I say as a family we should spend mealtime together regardless of who's eating and who's not as it really does pave the way for the future, and it continues to show that this is not just a time for food but a time for family and communication too.

Just my thoughts...

*hugs*
