DD2 doesnt like sheets or blankets on her (though i managed to put one on her tonight) sleeps in a snugtime sleepsuit (also hate teh sleepingbags but ok with teh one with legs )but wondering what i do during winter?? the sleeper suits are only so big as to accomadate clothing underneath, im worried about her getting cold, we set the heater to come on at 16 degrees, i hate it on at night.
what do others do in the same instances?
I just dress mine in flannel pjs, but #2's the same. Both mine sleep pretty hot though. You could maybe consider something like an air-wrap or whatever to go round the outside of the cot, so that direct breezes don't blow on bub? #2 tends to snuggle up to a stuffed toy too, so I guess there's some warmth there...but many mornings I find him in a little ball with his butt up in the air.
From experience, she'll wake and tell you if she's cold, so I guess if that starts happening, you can think of something. Have you tried a baby sleeping bag? ETA: just read properly about the sleeping bags....um...could you make something?
shell worried the size 2 is toooo big, shes lose her feet in it!
nelle umm she still wakes 1-2 time that part hasnt ever changed! she does have two flannalette blankies so i guess that might help! oh and i love wondersuits!
There are thick sleeping suits at Best & Less, can't remember the brand of them, but they are polar fleece & really thick - that's all Pip sleeps in. Else there's very funky warm suits at places like Kathmandu which are merlino thermals, they are also good.
My only answer is do what we did - move to the tropics. Not much help, am I?
DS won't abide by anything covering him while he sleeps. But at the moment it's so hot he just sleeps in a nappy and nothing else, and is perfectly happy. In winter we get as far as tracky pants and a long sleeved t-shirt, and that's about it.
But when we were in Melbourne last year it was a nightmare, because he was icy cold but wouldn't let me cover him up. So I can sympathise with you there. His father is exactly the same, throws off the covers even in winter, then complains of the cold.
Neither of mine sleep under blankets for some reason. DD (nearly 3) sleeps in a pair of cotton long sleeved and long legged pants under a sleepsuit and DS (8months) sleeps in a bonds onesie and will have a sleepsuit over it for winter. They both seem warm. Apart from that sorry but no suggestions. Good luck!
