hi Amber
My DD was hospitalised for dehydration when she was 9 months so I remember the things the paed said to us at the time
- 5 mls of water every 10 mins for for 2 hours will bring up hydration again in a little one if you are concerned about that (syringe)
- keep feeding them if they are hungry and will eat - no such thing as "starving" the bug as per old fashioned tales (!)
- when offering foods, keep basic carbs like bread and rice and cereals - steer away from dairy or things potential to upset a sensitive tummy
Hope that helps for the next 24 - 48 hours.
Oh - hygiene and plenty of hand washing and you and DH should be fine - fingers crossed for your family.
