Maybe it's normal at that age...? DS was like that for a while - very much had to be mummy all the time. It stopped around 21-22 months I think?

I'm just worried because she gets so wound up even if i'm partially obscured from her line of vision. she was sobbing within 2 minutes last night because i had to get up and wee. she woke as soon as i left the room and tried to jump off the bed.

It sounds like a spike in separation anxiety. Is she teething or anything at the moment also? Hopefully it eases off soon.

She's been teething on and off for the last 3 months. She never had seperation anxiety this bad. Hopefully it passes sooner rather then later

Both my kids seperation anxiety comes and goes. I find it tends to co-incide with developmental leaps. I always sore it as with each time they grow and understand more about the world they need to cling on to mum for awhile to make sure their saftey net is still there.

Reassurance helps my kids when they are like that. It is so so so hard though. Especially the whole cooking dinner thing. Goodluck I hope its only a stage and you both get through it quickly.
