If it doesn't take much room in your case I'd take it. And try in the bath first! lol. I haven't got it, but I would think it would be safer as it stays on but the floaties might come off? Just my thought Have fun on your holiday!
I'm really interested to hear peoples thoughts on this too. We're also going on holidays and I'm tossing up what to buy. ds uses the arm floaties at swimming lessons (the hard foam type) so we were wondering if we should buy those, or a vest.
I asked the swimming teachers and one said it doesn't matter, as long as it keeps them floating, the other said the arm floaties because the vests keep them totally upright which can be frustrating if they are trying to dog paddle. On the other hand she said the vests are good because their arms are free, so who knows!
Yes, we have one for DS, we got it when he was 2 - we have a pool - it's great, keeps him afloat and is secure (does up under their crotch so can't come off) and just makes me feel more confident when it is just me and both the kids in the water. However, I did read on here (I think) that a swimming teacher didn't like them as the kids didn't learn to swim as quick (or something to that effect). But for us, it has been great!
