My 7 month old DD quite often wakes once or twice in the night for a feed too. It's pretty normal for their age... she is breastfed. Are you breastfeeding? Breastfed babies also tend to want to feed more often in the night (from what i've read and heard too).
My DD self settles beautifully also at bedtime 7pm and will usually sleep til 2 or 3am when she wakes for a feed then back to sleep straight away until 7am. That's on an "average" night... other nights she might wake at 11pm for a feed, back to bed til 3am for a feed again then sleep til 7am. It's pretty common for their age. I know it's tiring some nights but it's just part of being a Mummy It won't always be like this and I sometimes think I'll actually miss those night feeds one day.....
Food is not just food to them, it's also comfort and security and cuddles with Mummy

Yep, sounds normal here too - both mine did it. My son fed HOURLY for the first 6 weeks or so, then went to 2-3 hourly and eventually, around the 10 month mark, we squeezed it out to 3-4 hourly. He was breastfed up until 19 months.

I'm hoping this next one isn't an 'hourly' kind of boy again....
