A reminder that you have to be so vigilant with little kids.
I was sitting on the couch and my 8 month old rolling machine was playing on the floor. She went around the end of the couch and then around the back. I couldn't see her but was listening to her talk to herself.
I had a dressmakers dummy out at the end of the couch and saw it start to wobble. I jumped up to catch it as it slowly fell across bub. I caught it before it hit her and stood it up again, and then noticed that she had been rolling across the vaccuum cleaner power cord and it was wrapped around her body and once across her neck.
I quickly loosened the cord and released the bub. Thankfully, she was fine but it could have been nasty. If she had just rolled once more, or i hadn't noticed that she was caught up.....
As the power cord was attached to vaccuum and plugged into wall high up it was quite tight around her body, and she got stuck like that in just a minute or two.
big hugs babe it totally rattles you when that stuff happens...which it does from time to time (so dont be too hard on yourself...nice glass of wine to cool off tonight lol!)
you (the general 'you' not specifically 'you'!) don't often realise things are dangerous until something happens. Glad she is ok, and hope you are ok too!
Warning: Rolling babies and powercords don't mix
