Thanks for that lilima - will check with MiL if she can do the zip. Is it 2.5 tog? That'd be fine, we are cold sleepers

    I'll let you know!

Yep. 2.5. It is not in perfect condition as it was originally James' so two kids have used it, but it is warm

the upside is that it has forced me to go through our terribly messy linen cupboard. of course the contents are now just all over our bed - but at least i'll have to sort it out before i go to bed tonight!!!

& i'm pretty sure we weaned off the sleeping bag in hot weather - some nights were just too warm & so we didn't put it on DS & he actually didn't seem to mind. back then he woke every 45m-2 hours so i don't think i noticed any difference

Our sleeping bags have come from Big W (about $15, no tog rating) or Myer (0.2 tog for summer, about $20 on sale). I bought the next size up and added three press studs on the back to fold up the extra length iykwim - the Bond's sleeping bags have them already. That way I'm getting even better value for money! Oh, and I also got one from Pumpkin Patch that was 'last season's' for $15 - it's a winter one but not sure of the tog. HTH
