DD likes her porridge with a little drizzle of honey or with some stewed apple/pear or sliced banana.

Milkshakes are a favourite here to. I put in jalna yoghurt, milk and fruit (banana, mango, berries) and she'll have a glass of that with a piece of toast.

Some fantastic suggestions! Thank you ladies I have very little time in the mornings at the moment having to feed DD2, so cereal is quick and easy. I haven't had a chance to look at other options but they all just seem to be so high in sugar! (I learnt that when I had GD). I really appreciate your posts ladies. Thank you x

My youngest will be 2 at the end of April but for breaky it is either two slices of toast or cereal....Uncle Tobys only as they have whole grains. The box they are consuming (I have two boys) atm is 'Plus Sultanas n Bran'. The last box was another of the 'Plus' range too.

Otherwise they might have crumpets or muffins!

My DS2 went off weetbix too at about the same age. He liked Sultana Bran (still does) and sometimes Cheerios. He will eat them before we get up without milk and then have with milk for breakfast.
Otherwise a smoothie of some sort..this could be something you have made the night before if you struggle with time in the morning.
DS2 loves Banana's, another filling thing that can be eaten on the run.

DS either has weetbix with honey, cheerio's or sometimes nutrigrain.
    Or just vegemite on toast

MJ loves Muesli, she has it with Yoghurt instead of milk.
she has this or toast or both in the mornings.
She is not keen on W/bix anymore either... have tried loads of diff cereals, but this was the one that she liked the most, maybe cos i have it every morning too.

If you want to try a few, why dont you buy the variety packs so you can try a diff one each morning (although you are limited to kellogs if you do it this way) without having to buy big boxes

My DD likes some variety and has decided she likes sultana bran. However I was finding this would generally go uneaten, whereas she would finish her weetbix. She insists on eating sultana bran. So I make her "sultana bran" where I make up weetbix and scatter sultanas through it, which she's very happy with and generally finishes up! The other day I had actual sultana bran and she told me I was eating dark sultana bran and she prefers her light sultana bran!

Anyway, that was a long rambling way to say you could try sultanas in weetbix! I still give her a few sultanas for her snacks too. But I am a bit slack on trying to limit sugar (within reason) so may not be the best person to give advice!
