Cool What the? Cot acrobatics, LOL!!

Okay, so I wouldn't exactly call them acrobatics in the slightest...but it was the first thing that came to mind.

First it started with me putting him down and come back and him being halfway to the top of the cot... Now it has eventuated to him throwing the teddy he cuddles (I have once found it out of the cot), and me walking in find him having done a 90 degree turn, of course kicking into his musical fish thing and bashing his head against the side of the cot...

...and even better after settling him after a 90 degree turn today, he has done a full 180 degree turn the next time around

I know he'll be crawling around his cot in no time but for a baby that's not even close to rolling yet, what the?!!

The only relatively mobile thing he does is turn himself around with tummy time, but on his back too! Wow!

Does your bub do it too?

LoL- you sound like you have an active little boy there!! My bub is still in my belly- so i am no help to say i have experience with this happening- i thought i would just say i think it sounds cute!! unless he hurt himself!! But it sounds like he is just active! Watch out when he does start to get really mobile- i reckon you will be doing alot of running around!!

Yep, DD did that heaps, well before she was rolling, let alone crawling. DH used to call her a salmon because she was swimming upstream in the cot!

Oliver only moves in his cot when he wakes up after a sleep - probably because I feed him to sleep, then tuck him in, so he stays put until he wakes. Once he wakes he scoots up the cot, twists around, shoves his arms and legs out the bars, then calls for help.

Hehe what a cheeky monkey! Yes our DD is the same. Just wait till your DS gets stuck with his legs hanging out the side, they get themselves into some tricky places!!

I also found my DD had turned 90 deg in her cot one day when she was not even 4 months. I can't explain it but there was no one else in the house to turn her! She didn't move much more than that and still didn't roll until about 6.5 months. Very cute. I find her now with teddy on the floor, socks off and on floor, cardigan unbuttoned, rugs everywhere and her upside down on her back!

Thumbs up baby on the move..

Hi I know exactly how you feel ,my experience was Kylee wiggled around in her cot and got caught in the bars, luckily I went in to check her being a new mum you can't help but do that.It gave me quite a fright, poor little thing she did not have the strength to pull herself back she was only a couple of months old.I went on the net and found a Baby Crib Safety Net,got it within the week.It is just fabulous keeps all nasty creepy crawlies out even the cat easy to fit and baby can't climb out,it fits inside the crib and hangs from the ceiling just like a mosquito net,and can be used for the next bub.I am a very happy Mummy..Hope this will help you...

Hey Ash, Just you wait until he stands up inside of the cot!!!
Very cute, he must feel nice and safe and happy and has a litlle play bless him.
My DS's would do this too but wouldn't roll in front of anyone. Must be a boy thing he he. Been missing you in the Bubs born Feb thread!

Heheee! I remember the first time I went in and found Izzy with her head down the wrong end and on her tummy! I nearly died of fright and took a photo for DH!!!She still occasionally ends up in weird possies but has settled heaps! Not much help am I!
