    Yep I'd count that as first words

    For me it has to be something they understand, Brendan babbled 'dadadad' first, but he didnt understand that 'dadadad' was DP until much later.

    Yep. Jazzy said bub-bub but that was her playing with sounds, but her actual first word was mum-mum-mum, I counted as her 'first word' that she understood eg. When mum walks away and I scream MUM-MUM-MUM-MUM she'll come back! YAY! lol
