Question What to expect at 6 week post-natal check

(not sure where this fits - mods please feel free to move )

DS and I have our 6 week post-natal check-up this Friday. I was just wondering what to expect. What do they check over?

Are you having it with GP?

My GP checks bubs over - ears, chest, hips, testicles to see if they have descended - general questions about weight - will weigh and measure him.

My GP checks me out too - checks my uterus by feeling my tummy, checks for separation of muscles, and usually a smear if I need it, a quick internal to make sure everythign is back where it should be, like coughing to ensure pelvic floor is coming back etc - mental health and wellbeing - and the Becks PND questionnaire thingie.

    Hope that helps!

Yeah, with a GP. Thanks for that. I should have mentioned... I had a c/s. Is there anything specific to that the dr will check?
