Sounds normal to me too. Just before DS2 turned 4 months he turned from happy baby into a cranky, clingy baby. It does pass, I promise! DS was happier once he became mobile.
That behaviour is very normal. Sounds like the 3 month growth spurt (yes it does exist). People say growth spurt and you think growing centimetres and gaining weight etc but the 3 month one more relates to mental development. My bubba is also a lovely, placid, happy and content bub but he turned into a little monster for a couple of weeks. He'd scream while waiting for the second boobie, fussed all the time and was clingy and cranky. BUT, it doesn't last. He is back to his lovely self again now and I'm just waiting for the next developmental step!
