jolly jumper are great, however you will probably find that at 3 months they need to be sat with to play in it to start with (they dont know what to do), also i wouldnt walk away when they are in it either, just for safety reasons, so i dont know if that will give you much of a chance to get a break, also MJ would only stay in hers for 10mins max to begin with...

MJ went through a very clingy stage like that and i ended up moving a rug around the house with me, she would have some nappy off time kicking on a waterproof mat while i was in the kitchen...
when i was in the laundry she sat in the laundry basket with a toy or two and to make it really interesting i would put her in the basket in the lounge and then pull her (making a train noise) into the laundry, where she would sit and play well after that.
when folding washing, i would give (and still do) her a pile of socks, they have differnt textures and colours and of course it is something that you are doing, so it is all the more exciting.
In the kitchen i would give her a scraper or a sieve or something similar and let her play with that.
