DD has been in her big bed since 2 (shes 3 at the end of october) and to start with we put a bed rail on even though DF thought she didnt need one. I dissagreed and on it went. Anyway, last week, after asking her, we took it off.
I wasnt convinced she was ready as she moves around quite alot in her sleep and her bed is quite high off the ground. I thought it might have been my over protectiveness coming out so I agreed we took it off. We put the cot mattress next to the bed incase she did fall out.
She fell out on the 2nd night.. hysterical (obviously..). 3rd, 4th and 5th night, she came close (Im an obsessive checker so I got in there just as she was super close to the edge).
Yesterday she was in a, lets call it... "testing mummys patience" kind of mood. Drew all over the cot mattress with black texta (ugh). So she lost the mattress.
Lastnight, she fell out.. twice. Straight onto the floor.
I havent told DF about lastnight yet because I know he will just say to give it time but I want to put the rails back on. But is that like 4 steps forward, 10 steps back?? She doesnt sleep at all during the day so both her and I need her night time sleep to be un-interupted by falling out of bed IYKWIM. Also.. im freaking shes going to do some damage like break an arm or something.. shes so clumsy as it is.
So would you put the rails back on???
