Moon sand it comes in a pack from toys r us and is modeling sand for around $25, we had it given as a gift and it's one of the most used toys and wont leave a mess if walked into the carpet like playdough does!(speaking from personal experience, lol)

Fake food also from toys r us, they come in a variety of packs and are used all the time with the kitchen and tea set here!

My Niece (19months) loves her, Dolls pram, tea set and her little table and chair set, she's always playing on it!

    Hope this helps,

i have some play dough in the fridge but i don't think she quite knows what to do with it yet... maybe in time.... i like the idea of painting when she is a bit bigger, how do you do it so there is no mess?!

oooh am going to look for some moonsand, sounds interesting!!!

yeah she has a little table and chairs and also a tea set that she loves, but i have packed the tea set away for a little while, so i can get it out again to bring back the novelty of it, iykwim.

bring on the warmer weather so we can play outside!!!

Duplo. Claire absolutely LOVES duplo. We have a big tub of it and whenever she sees it, she gets the whole tub out and empties it on the fllor. She could play with Duplo for hours.

She also enjoys play dough , although she usually ends up eating some of it. not that its a problem as its non toxic, but it doesnt taste the best.

Books. She loves small books particularly those ones with the touchy-feely bits on it, and especially if there are animals in the book. She'll open up a page of a cow and go "mooooooo".

Oh and toilet rolls, paper towel rolls, or anything ealse that is shaped like a tube.
and baby wipes. She puts them on her head like a hat. One wipe can amuse for ages.

I got DD a play tent. It has a little tunnel at the front and door kinda opening at the back. It was about $15 from target. She loves. Good for both outside and inside.
