whats yoru 8,mnth old up to

Hi, I have an 8mnth old, who is very very active. Getting to the stage that they don’t like playing on their own, and will want to hang with us all the time, can play with their toys for like 5mins, but then seem to get very bored, and will climb all over us, does not sit still for more then 5mins, before moving onto something else, as now crawling, will crawl from room to room exploring, and will try standing on everything, often having many accidents. I know that they can go thrua bit of seperaton anxiety- do they grow out of this, and is everyones child at 8mnths, busy busy busy and does not sit still…

Jack is 8 mths on friday

he is a very placid quiet (most of the time) child, he will happily play but other times he is moving everywhere, he isn't crawling properly just doign major comando crawl, he likes to pull himself up on me or his dad if we are laying on floor/bed with him

he is going thru a slight seperation thing at moment likes to be able to see me at all times, he is very wary of other people

I know exactly what you mean, my DS is such a whirlwind!!! Getting into everything he shouldn't on the go all the time and always needing my attention.
Not only that but what are you guys feeding your 8mth old? Stewart has decided that he doesn't want baby food any more, he wants our food. Sausages, soup, pastizzies, ribs, anything we have he wants!

What you've described sounds just like my DD.
Its exhausting, she'll play happily for awhile then want me but then climb all over me but if I put her down she'll cry.

Yep.. Jesse is always doing something.. i was lucky to get alot of toys from my sister so he can go from one to the other and that keeps him happy for quite a while. He hasnt got too much of the seperation thing going yet.. only when he's tired or seems to be teething. But again he's got lots of toys that keep him amused and we baracade him into a large area of the lounge room so when i walk out of the room he doesnt notice most of the time. But if i walk in the area and sit down, he'll leave what hes doing and come and climb all over me and whinge for me to pick him up. CHN told me the reason for the seperation anxiety is because theyre discovering that they are a different person to you so its a bit of a shock, its very common.. and yes they will grow out of it.
