Roya - that's what I was doing with DS, but we hit a wall at 10am, so we'll stick to that for a while! I think that's how we'll do it when he is ready to drop a nap though.

DS has been sleeping like a log and going down easily for both naps since I posted, so it seems like we're sticking with 2 naps here for a while yet! I'm sure now that I posted that, he'll surprise me again though! I quite like the two nap routine as we can visit people and he can sleep on the way there and the way home (most of our rellies/friends are 45mins-1 hour away).

about 18 or 19 months. the transition took a couple of weeks of short 45-60 mins naps quite early in the day (and looonnng afternoons with him cranky but refusing another nap) till he started staying up a bit longer (4-5 hours) & also sleeping for longer (2-2.5hrs).

A long long long time ago!!!! lol. Seriously, my DS has been a shocker of a day sleeper since a few months old, preferring to have one nap most of the time. At best, we had a 45 min to 1 hour sleep around 10.30 and then a 30 minute nap around 2-3 o'clock. Now that he is a year old, he still prefers 1 sleep a day, but it's around 1.5 to 2 hours usually around 11 am as he is a lot more mobile now and uses up a lot of his energy. I find that he burns out around 4 ish, but if he goes down, he won't go to sleep until 9.30 - 10 pm hich is way too late and not acceptable in this house hold. He usually wakes around 7.30 - 8 am, but often goes to bed around 8 -8.30 pm.
