when did your bub drop down to 1 nap?

My DD used to happily have 2 naps (approx 1 hour each) a day, plus sleep approx 12 hours at night. but in the past week i am really struggling to get her to have 2 naps, she will take ages to go to sleep and then not sleep for long at all. im thinking perhaps she might be ready to drop to 1 nap after lunch. she just seems so little thou, and i cant remember how old my DS was when he went to 1 nap.

    any suggestions?

My DS dropped the 2nd nap for good at about 12 months. For a couple months prior to that we struggled with the 2nd nap - he needed it sometimes but not everyday.

My DD1 was 18 months but my DD2 was only 10 months when she dropped to one sleep. I too thought it was too little but she has been perfectly happy on one sleep since. She did get a bit cranky in the afternoons at first but if I distracted her she'd be fine. We dropped back to one sleep because she'd go down for her arvo sleep and only sleep for ten minutes if at all. Initially I had to put her down at about 10am (she was waking at five) but now she sleeps about 11. Hope that helps!

    around 11mths.

Occasionally if we have had a hectic week I might get 2 naps out of DD but rarely.

She will sleep minimum 12hours at night plus a 2 hour (average) day sleep.

I truly am so fortunate taht she has always been a good sleeper

DD was about 18months, but she's always been pretty good at day sleeps.
    DS was about 10-11months.

DD went to one sleep at about 9/10 months. I thought it was quite early as most of the babies I knew the same age as her were still having 2 or 3 sleeps! It just got harder and harder to get her to go to sleep (somedays it was the morning sleep we'd have trouble with, somtimes it was her afternoon sleep) and was taking up to an hour to get her to sleep then she would be lucky to stay asleep for an hour! She did get a bit cranky by about 4/5 pm but of course by then it was too late to put her to bed so I just tried to keep her entertained and happy until bedtime.

She now has her day sleep at about 12pm and will sleep until 1.30/2pm.

Same for us but it was the short first nap that dropped and the longer second nap that he kept

DD went down to one nap at 10 months. Occasionally she will have a second nap if she has been up stupidly late the night before or really early that morning.

DD dropped her 2nd sleep at around 13mths. Prior to that I had so much trouble getting her down for her arvo nap she would get so upset with me so I realised she didn't need it and I had also noticed she had pushed her morning sleep back too which meant she could stay up longer in the morning. That is how I knew. Now she has a midday sleep every day for 2-2.5hrs.

At about a week old. My little one has no snooze switch. If she gets one decent nap it is a good day
