You ready?? My son was 20 months old!! He would pull himself up on stuff, he was just not interested in walking at all. Then on the 9 November 2008 - he stood up and walked. We just happened to be filming him for something else too - so we have it on film.
My DD1 was 19.5 months and it worried me to bits that she wasn't walking. All the babies at MG were walking WAAY before her.
She was a late crawler and preferred to "bum-shuffle" - these types of babies tend to walk late too. However, she was an early talker and very placid in temperament (not a real go-getter) so these were also factors I believe.
I'd say go and see a developmental physio if you continue to be concerned. They can give you exercises to encourage walking (we did them - whether she would have walked then anyway is debatable).
In our baby buddy group we have everything from 9mths up to 18 months with walking. For me personally my first started at 13mths and the other 3 were all 9mths.
I always used to say to my DH - he isn't going to be 18 and still commando'ing everywhere.
My DH told me of his images of being at the bar with his mates and they'd have to pass him down a drink.......... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!! Funny images now!
