Hello,
This may sound dumb, but what do you mean by lowering the matteres? (I have seen similar threads before as well and had the same blank thought).
I am assuming that you can get cots with 2 heights for the matteress and as I only have one, don't need to worry, but thought I had better check in case I am missing something..
Thanks
Heather
Heather - some cots have different heights for the mattress...the wooden slats can be unscrewed and lowered once bubs is sitting up. Not all cots have this though, some only have the one height so that might be why you are a bit confused!! HtH![]()
Thanks Tan.
We only have one level. If I do happen to have 2, have only noticed and used the low one so no probs..Might check it out just for interest though.
We left it late to lower the base. DS could already pull himself up on things (he was doing this from about 51/2 -6mths old). Walked in to his room one morning, there he was moving himself back and forward standing waiting for us.... It was time! We were worried he'd fall out...
The health nurse had said from when they're able to sit up on their own, then you lower the base. HTH
I never had the DD's cot in the top position!!! I thought at the time of putting it together that I will need to pull it all apart AGAIN and lower it down once DD starts standing and pulling herself up - so I just put it on the lower position from birth LOL How slack hey!
We moved the cot down when DS was about 6 months old, he was a big baby though and couldn't sit up without help or pull himself up. I thought it would be annoying to have him lower down but it didn't make a difference really...
