    when to remove the bedrail?

I took DD's bedrail down today off her single bed.
Do you think this is too young?
    She is just over 2.

I have tucked the sheets in tight on the outer side so she would have to be on top of the sheets to really fall out

when did everyone else remove the safety rail?

we removed DD1's around 8 weeks ago, she fell out the first night so i popped a small pillow (cot pillow ? ) under the fitted sheet to make a small hump, she never fell out again, and ive now removed the pillow and rolled up a small blanket to do the same thing!

I always had the mattress under the bed pulled out slightly! However with DD2 I have had to have bedrail until 3.5 and still have precuations now, but have found out that is quite common for kids with adenoid probs to move around alot! But with DD1 I just felt better with mattress there! xo

We took Nina's off about a month ago, and she's hasn't fallen out of bed, yet. Her bed is in the middle of the room, so I just put a pillow next to her. It usually ends up on the floor.

My DS has never had one! But we did cosleep, so he was used to a bed when he got his own. I do put a pillow next to him most nights because he does move around alot.

So no, I don't think it's too young, and you can always try the pillow (or blanket) trick to help her stay in bed. And don't stress if she does fall out, she'll be fine!!!

We never used one. We do have a trundle bed though so I pull that out JIC. TBH he hardly ever falls out.
