Hi everyone,

My daughter is 11 months old and we decided from the beginning that we would rock her to sleep if she wanted us too, rather than control cry etc. The patting thing didn't work either.

Anyway, there was a time where I could put her in her cot awake and she would fall asleep - this was mostly during the day. Sometimes she would do this at night, but not always.

For the last month or more we've found that we have to lie down with her whilst she sleeps on our stomachs. We then transfer her to her cot.

I've now dropped her milk down to 3 per day but I'm finding that she's no longer sleeping well during the day. This whole week I can't think of a day where she has had more than an hours sleep during the day (ie leading up to 7/8pm!).

I'm wondering whether the drop in her milk or the fact that she is getting older has anything to do with it? Some mornings we also don't get up until after 9am! But I justify this by saying "she wouldn't sleep if she didn't want to".

Appreciate any thoughts/ideas/reassurance etc.

Would also be interested in hearing other people's routines for the day with kids the same age.

Thanks in advance.
