Christy, I know how you feel. I feel like there is always some snot or red eyes or excema or runny bottom in this house.

BUT, if I stayed home each time any one of them were sick, we would literally never go out.

SO, I have a few back-up plans that are good to get out of the house but minimise the risk of sharing the germs.......

    1. All buncle into the car with a fave music CD and have a car concert on the way to a little treat.....for us this is driving to the beach (30 mons away) for an ice cream and a runaround

    2. The park......we have a couple of "bushy walk" parks (ie loads of intersting stuff for a nature walk but no play equipment.....so no other kids, LOL!) adn we do a treasure hunt......(ie give them an enviro bag and let them collect rocks, leaves, flowers, pine cones etc etc)

    3. The library......we go to a further out library which is massive (less claustriphobic and close for snot germs) and less kids.......and they pick out books. Often this is one occasion where I bother my own arse to sit down with all 3 of them adn read to all 3.........I am better at doing this when there are no household domestic distractions.........

Not sure if any of them are a good idea?

Or, and I may do this this afternoon.........a picnic in the garden.........complete with shell and sand and water......and tupperware and ripped up newspaper & they 'cook" for me.........messy, but fun.
