DD is 11 months old tomorrow (yikes!!) and she has stared to not sleep very well at all of late.
She used to go to bed @ 6.30 and sleeo through till 6.30... now she does not.
Now I will be lucky if she is in bed by 9.30! And then she will wake in the night for a feed - ok thats cool I can handle that - but then she sleep crawls and wakes her self up several times a night and once she is awake she stands up in her cot so there is no chance of getting her back to sleep.
If she woke for a feed once a night I can handle that but last night: she was down at 9.30, up for a feed at 12.30 and back in bed by 1.30 then awake at 5.30 - back in bed by 8.30 and up again at 9.10.
Her day sleeps are a battle as well.. she will be showing tiered signs so I put her down and she stands up, I put her down, she stands up... and this goes on for 1/2 hr or so till I will put her down and she stays down.
I know I should not winge as I have had it so good till now I guess thats why now it feels like its all falling down around my ears
I feel your pain in the sleep dept!! Elijah is a terrible sleeper, usually 2 times between midnight and 5/6am.... doesn't settle properly until around 10 aarrggh lol.
The crawling... has she only recently crawled??? The day sleeps, OMG I remember Oskar doing that too, I remember getting really cranky with him cos he just kept getting up and peeking out of the blinds to see what was going on outside lol... hmm was so not funny at the time! They just do things like that and for me I just had to ride it out and keep going back and putting him down or ignoring it for 10 mins or so and he did start to lay down on his own but it did take a while. Probably not much help really sorry. You're not alone though
It's developmental DD is doing similar and waking more frequently. She has just figured out crawling and standing / cruising so it has been a busy time
Ozzie - the standing in the cot think is SO frustrating!! It wouldbe ok if she just laid there but she just stands up straight away! Plus she is climbing up on everthing atm too.. just wants to stand and cruise the furniture! I guess I should be glad that she is interested in walking!?!
Michelle - Thanks hun!! I suspect it is as well its just such a huge change for her! I know she is super excited about the crawling thing and walking and it seems that sleep takes a back seat to that!!
Thanks ladies - helps to know others have "been there done that!!"
