OK - I am sure that my belly buddies are sick and tired of hearing me bang on about how E is not sleeping through, and how many hours I was up overnight, so I htought I would start a thread for anyone who wants to come in on a daily/weekly/whenever basis where we can vent about the bad noghts that we are having,
So....................
COME JOIN THE CLUB.
I will start. Had a shocker last night. E woke at 1am, after going down at 8. I managed to sort of resettle her, but she lay in her bed, squealing at the top of her lungs for over an hour. (we were sharing a room as i was at mums.) She finally went back to sleep at about 2am, but woke again at 3am. I gave her a feed, and put her back down. Then she started the sqealing again for 2 HOURS. I finally went to sleep at 5am, and my dad got up at 7am and turned the radio on REALLY LOUD in the lounge and woke me up! At least she wasn't crying, but who can sleep through that racket?!

Oh that sqealing drives me nuts, thats what keeps me awake alot nights, when we used the dummy I could just shove that in, now its gone I have to sit thru it.
OOh! Can i join! Jesse is alot older, & has had his fair share of wake ups. Rarely he'll be nice & sleep through, when he's feeling very generous!
Lately when he wakes up, I'll get up to take him into our bed, & the second we leave his bedroom he's screaming at me coz I'm going the wrong way! I should be ready to get up at 11.30pm! (15 minutes after going to bed )
Last night I got between 2 & 3 hours & it wasn't Jesse! It was poor Bri, sick again & up & down with headaches & a sore throat - every half hour from about 2am. (Silly me had visitors & was up til 3am! ) & she won't have any medicine after being severly traumatised in hospital a month ago. Am about to make her a panadol/strawberry milk shake...
Then I was up for the day at 7 with a bung hip (must've slept funny on it) & half a hang over!
Could've been worse I guess....I could've had the full blown migrain hang over!
I'll join. Both of my kids are up most nights. DS at least twice on a good night and DD usually once, but sometimes more. THough in the last 2-3wks she has been sleeping through some nights in her big girl bed! DS still co sleeps cause he has never slept well. Neither has DD for that matter! Last night I got 4hrs straight, which is good for us. And DD slept throught as well, yay!!! DS had 3 feeds over night last night, not unusual. I can't wait for the night I get more than 5hrs straight, which is the longest stretch I gotten since DD was born.
me I want to join too.
Heaven only knows how many times Nate wakes up in the night. I took the clock out so I can't see.
I have had a grand total of 1.5hrs sleep since yesterday at 5.30am....Nate was up SCREAMING every 20min-half hour, then theres Darcy with her really bad tonsils (poor kid).
DH is on night work and now has gone to Sydney for 4 days - yay me....
H didnt sleep all day saturday....(well...40mins all up i reckon)....sat night was up every hour from 3am....grrr
Yesterday i was tired, he was tired. I didnt have the patience or energy to TRY and pat him off to sleep, so every little mumur or cry i would flip it. He did better yesterday, but wouldnt go to sleep at 7pm when he normally does. 8:10pm he was so beside himself and soooo tired. DH was on night shfit, so all up to me.... He finaly went off to sleep at 830pm....'great i thought, will sleep thru till 1am at least'.....nope, 11pm woke up, then every hour from then...
Im sooo tired today......
ETA: i put DD#2 to bed with no night nappy last night (forgot......), so she woke me up in between HArrys night feeds with a wet back, wet bed and wet pants.....had to make up the bed at 12 am........it was all in all a awful night...
bjrose- I am the same. Sometimes up with the toddler. Last week he was having nightmares that bees were trying to sting his toes.
mbear - I have forgotten the night nappy before too. I now double sheet the bed a waterproof, then fitted sheet, another waterproof and fitted sheet. That way I only strip one layer off and he can get straight back in.
We had an ok night last night. i went to bed at 9pm, so managed to get 6 hours straight. I feel much better for it. I had to tape the final of masterchef though, as I knew I wouldn't make it through till the end.
lilias - I too am hanging for the day of getting mre that hours in a row. I was spoilt with DS. He slept through from 23 weeks.
Things DO get better ladies! I remember walking up & down the hallway every night just about all night with DD1 until she was about 4mo when we realised that she was lactose intolerant & needed help...
Regardless tho to whether your LO needs special help or is just fussy there is a light on the other side of the rainbow, trust me....It is there!I've seen it, 3 times now..LOL
Last night I was up every 90 minutes... given that it takes 20ish minutes to feed her or settle her back to sleep, I got bugger all sleep. Can you die from sleep deprivation? I'm sure my FB friends are sick of hearing about how little sleep I get too. I don't know what I am doing so wrong .
Me too! DS is all over the place. Sometimes every 1-2 hours, sometimes only 2-3 times a night. I just keep reminding myself that one day he'll be a teenager and we won't be able to get him out of bed. Yes, that is soooo comforting
Princess X - nope, it won't kill you, but you do sort of become like the walking dead. 'Guuaargh' (That's a traditional zombie greeting, btw)
And you're not doing anything wrong, she's just not sleeping well yet, that's all. I refuse to entertain the idea that I'm a crappy parent cause DS doesn't sleep through the night.
Megimoppit, hope you have another good one.
mbear - yikes. hope last night wasn't so bad for you.
