    wish me luck!

DS has never really self-settled & has fed to sleep most of the time but the time feels right now to see if we can help him to settle by himself.

in my desperation recently, i rang up the queen elizabeth centre & have a phone call booked with one of their nurses for 19th july. i still don't really want to try their methods so i figure that this now gives me a good length of time to see what we can achieve ourselves, in a gentle way.

phew. i just had to get it out there to make it more real, so i don't chicken out. i don't know if self-settling will have any impact on DS' frequent night waking, but figure it's not a bad thing for him either way.

Good luck - hope you see some improvement soon.

Just by the by, DS started self settling on his own... at nearly 2. With any luck you can get there a bit sooner

Good luck! You can do it!
I'm still feeding DD to sleep too. But I second the Jay Gordon stuff. She is now able to self-settle during the night quite often.
