Toddler for me! Less frustrating when they can tell me what they want, plus they hug back. And tell you they love you. And come out with the most hysterically funny stories!!

Eta - actually, I'm going to mix it up. With the first child I prefer the newborn stage. Any children after, I prefer the toddler stage.

Toddler stage!! I knew I would love it and I do!! although I really feel like I wished away my DD's newborn stages and I do feel sad about that but having NO sleep and a screaming reflux baby is just not fun!

My ds as a newborn was terrible, but from 5 months he started sleeping through and his cute factor broke the cutometer. He just gets better and better. Now he's a total threenager, asks "why" constantly and refuses to listen to me, but he's so wonderful to talk to and is incredibly creative. I just love seeing him learn, explore, create and develop into a fully fledged little man with opinions of his own.

Dd was absolutely delightful for the first 5 months, but has become such a stroppy and determined little minx, she's quite the handful. She also far from sleeps through. However, she is going to be fabulous to watch grow.

Definitely toddler! I just adore my toddler and her beautiful little personality and attitude!

I found a newborn quite boring, then after that she turned into a bad sleeper which put me off, lol.

But in saying that, I'm now really looking forward to having a quiet little snuggly newborn again!!

But they only become awesome bigger kids once you've put in the hard yards early on. Goes double for cats.

My cats are great. Can't wait to be a crazy cat lady.

I've been thinking about this and why I prefer toddlers. I like the talking. I'm a big talker and I love seeing his language develop every day. It's been my favourite thing so far.
