DD1's is 'Emily' by From First to Last (Youtube!). DD2... I'm not sure yet Probably something by Paramore, because her name is Hayley Nicole, and the singer from Paramore is Hayley Nichole

There is a song called "Fussy" by End of fashion, and in it has the lyrics "I get so fussy when I'm on my own" and also also the line "You and, your little team of winners" It was out when I was pregnant with the twins and although I don't really know what the song is about I like it and those lines always remind me of the twins.. We called them our team of winners

Then of course 'Baby Mine' by Bette Midler, which I always sang to them in NICU and 'Say a little Prayer' both of which we played at their funeral along with Tears in heaven by Eric Clapton..

I love music, it is such an expression of every emotion..

Mine for both kids is Luna by the Smashing Pumpkins...love it! I loved it before I had kids too!

DD1 for some reason would not settle unless I played or sang Working Class Man!

I think I know why...

I was 40+1 weeks preg with her when I went to see Adam Hills and at the end of his show he sings Working Class Man.

DD2 seems to like me singing Rainbow Connection LOL.

DD1 is named after singer/artist/cabaret performer Amanda Palmer and DD2 is named after The Slits singer Ari Up.

We met Ari Up when she was here about 3 years ago and have a pic of DD1 sitting on her lap. She was really one of a kind!

DS has a whole album! I started compiling music he liked while pregnant.

Starts with Hendrix and Voodoo Chilli - the first song I knew he liked, even in the womb.
Then Take That's Shine - I was overdue with him when that was in the charts and sang it to him a lot "But you're stuck in a hole and I want you to get out. I don't know what there is to see but I know it's time for you to leave, we're all just pushing along trying to figure it out, out, out... don't know what you're waiting for your time is coming don't be late" and so on.
ABBA's Super Trouper very much sums up Lieb's birth.
Frankie Howerd's version of the Fishy Song, Billy Joel's Lullaby, Beethoven's Ode to Joy (DS has just started trying to sing this), Strauss' Blue Danube, ABBA's Mama Mia, also a lot of 70s funk is in the mix.

After that - we have quite a mix of songs, but Shine and Super Trouper always make me think of tiny baby Liebling.

Ds1 is 'This aint a scene, its an arms race" by Fall Out Boy. Never failed to settle him when he was little in the car. His fave song now is 'Aint no rest for the wicked' by Cage the Elephant. He also likes the song 'Benny and the Jets' by Elton John....................because it has his name in it lol

Ds2 is 'You may be right' by Billy Joel. His choice entirely but aptly suited to him

Ds3 is 'Beautiful Day' by U2. Never fails to bring tears to my eyes and makes me think about his beautiful soul and his beautiful birth.
