    Wink Babies and bowel Movements!!

I know it is not uncommon for babies to go up to 2 weeks without pooing!
My bubs is fed Ebm (he has a cleft lip and can't feed from the breast)
He poos everyday and always has...he is 19weeks old but we are going on day 4 of no poos!
He doesn't seem to have any tummy complaints or soreness but I was just wondering if I should do anything for him or just wait till he does one?
He had 4 month vaccinations last wed and got the runs really bad then normal poo for a day or two and now nothing!!!
    Not sure if it's normal!

If you are concerned, then contact your doctor. Since he seems to have no discomfort, I would suggest just wait for another few days before you get worried.

I have heard (but don't know who accurate it is) that breastfed babies can go for up to 14 days without pooing.

Leesha- My DD is fully BF and can and has cone 2 weeks without a poop and its not like she does a poosplosion when she finally does go... can be a small one... As long as there are plenty of wet nappies and bubs doesnt appear uncomfy then i was advised to just wait. If and when bubs goes if it appears a little more solid then usual then perhaps maybe you need to drink more water or you can offer some cool boiled water,. have also heard people mention adding some brown sugar (only if bubs is constipated) the Infants friend helps with bowel movements also.

My DD can go few days in a row then nothing for a week or 2... i started of very concerned but now just leave her and she goes when ever. But like i said if its appears a bit more solid then maybe see your GP and get some advice. if nothing by 2 weeks then i'd take him JIC...

And now none since then but I am not worried as he seems normal and happy!!
Guess it's just a change I'll have to get used to!
