Bed safety rails- anyone have one??

We just put the cot mattress on the floor next to the bed to soften any falls. DD fell twice, DS not once.

how about rolling up a towel/blanket and popping it under the fitted sheet to act as a bumper, we did this as a transition when we took the rails off DD's bed, worked well and its free

So DS and I took the rail off, and put a rolled up towel under the sheet at the edge like you suggested Olive.

DS was so cute, the first thnig he did was climb up and get teddy and his pillow and he walked them around the whole house, as if to say "see teddy this is what I've been telling you about".

I'm a bit nervous that when I put him into bed tonight he will just get up and play in his room. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe I should take some of the toys out till he's used to it??

hi, you can always use the back of a chair, like your dining room chair, just sit it beside the bed with the back against the bed... thats what we do if we go away anywhere, just acts as a bit of protection... you could even use two if he is a big mover and slides down the bed etc.
