Booster Seat Options for 3rd Row in Car

I will have to check the manual i think as the rear seat is a fold up seat which is built in.
I hafve a 7 seater Toyota Kluger KX-R (if you find any info) - i am assuming with the rules in vic i should be able to have a booster seat from 4yrs old in there as lond as it doesn't have an anchor strap.
There are no anchor points in the rear of the kluger.

I've also e-mail Vid Roads and asked them specifically if there are any particular laws regarding age/height for the 3rd row etc.
Better to be safe than sorry... we really only want to for when we are going somewhere with a few people and need the extra space in the front row (option to move the middle row forward to allow another adult in the back too).
I wouldn't mind getting one that would suit DD1 right through to my nephew so he can fit in the back seat too.

i know you don't have any anchor hooks in the back row now, have you checked to see if they can be fitted?

I haven't checked but i don't think they can be - i should call and ask.. hmm if they can then we could still do road trips together

Yeah, my seat is one that is built in & folds up. I'm suprised yours doesn't have any info on it? Surely it'd be an Australian Standard thing?

I have a hi-pod from Target and the teether strap on them is optional. We bought these especially to use in the 3rd row of a car we just bought.

Sorry i'm back and we are still looking.
DD1 is now at the right height to be able to use a booster seat (not convertible) so we are looking again.

I still need something that does not have a tether as DP's car (ute) does not have anchor points and he is probably looking at selling in the next year so not sure we would want to look at outlaying $$ to have them put in.

I have seen a few but would love some ideas on the ones you ladies suggsted.

Safe n sound Pegasus - how wide is this, as far as i can see it's a foam booster right but you CAN buy a H harness to use with this?

Hi-Pod - when you say the tether is optional, it's not actually screwed on to the seat then - what model hi-pod have you got as i am looking at the safety ratings on all the ones we look at

Infa Secure - they have a fold away booster that is quite streamlined and light but it is not on the CREP website.

Pegasus - 2 Star
hipod - barcelona & senator - 2 star

There is such a HUGE difference in safety between the convertible boosters and a plain old booster bbut we really need an option for going in DP's car and the back row of mine.
My niece had one in my car yesterday that looked good.

I have e-mailed infa secure to see if they can suggest one of their seats to meet our requirements so i guess it's a wait and see... if you ladies can give me any tips on what has or hasn't worked, what you liked or dont like or what you think of the safety star rating?
