DD has been asleep for over 4 hours, is it just the heat wearing her out?

Ok I am sure it is no need to worry but my DD has been asleep since her last feed at 4.00pm... it is now almost 8.30pm, she has been sleeping alot over the last 3 days, do you think it is just the heat making her tired? Maybe a growth spurt? She does not have a temp and is otherwise her normal self...

    Reassurance would be lovely...?!

    Deanne.

I can't tell how old your DD is but my DD has always slept a lot a few days before she starts teething. It seems like she knows she'd better stock up on sleep before it happens. Heat doesn't seem to make her sleepy but stormy weather (like today) makes her very unsettled.

Thankyou Fiona. I did comment earlier today to DP that she may be starting to teath (sp?), she has had her fist in her mouth all day, even on a full tummy just after her milk and rice cereal this morning. Maybe that is what it is... although when I run my finger on her gums I cannot feel anything (not sure if I would though if she is teething )
