    Some are just rough I think.
    When they (used to) teach giving injections they taught to squeeze so that the muscle is raised (ie you don't just inject into fat - it is an intramuscular injection) and aim the syringe like a dart. A quick sharp jab gives a much cleaner, smoother and less painful entry. However...roughness is dependent on the individual jabber I guess.

    Yeah most of the doctors I have been to do it like that. The best one I ever had was when the doctor spent 1-2 mins desensitising the area so flicking on it (like you would flick away something on the table) and then I barely felt it go in.
