Booster Seat Options for 3rd Row in Car

DD1 will be 4 later this year, she is currently in a Maxi Rider AHR (which she loves) and is quite comfortable in BUT we have a toyota kluger and often want to go places with MIL & FIL etc but with the girls both in carseats the use of the 3rd row is limited to short people (which we are not).
We can move the row with the girls seats forward but that means adjusting the carseats every time we need to do this.

DP also has a ute that has no anchor point, we have been looking at getting a bolt put in but haven't really had the need so far.

So i was thinking with DD1 turning 4 later this year at possibly looking at getting a booster seat that has no tether which can be used in the ute aswell as in the back row of our car.
By doing this she could sit behind DD2's seat in the 3rd row, we would be able to move the other side seat forward a little to fit an adult in the back aswell as in the middle row - IYKWIM.

Most of the booster seats i've seen though have a tether and according to the RACV standards if a booster seat has a tether then you MUST use it.

So does anyone have ideas for a safe booster seat to be used in the 3rd row WITHOUT a tether attaced?

You can get ones that are just like a big foam booster with wing sides that I'm pretty sure don't have a tether strap. I found one called Go safe Mirage High Back Booster on the babies r us website that I'm pretty sure is the type.

What's the age range/height specification on your 3rd row seats? Mine is 4-12 year old. dd2 had a big foam booster, but the seat belt didn't fit around it. I bought her a half seat booster, but she still sat a little high in it.
She was 5 when we bought the car. We stopped using the booster in the 3rd row, because I paid attention to the age limits. The seats are smaller. They are booster seat size. In our car the 3rd row is too small for a car seat. It actually makes it more dangerous IMO. But I don't know the details of your car.

The safe n sound Pegasus doesn't have an anchor strap (i think!) And its relatively narrow to fit in back row. Also has anti-submaring clip thing so FF can't 'slide out' if she falls asleep.

The tag that tells me the height weight specifications are under the seat in my car. I have to fold the seat up to look at it.
Do you have a user manual? It might be in there if the seats were factory fitted. My car has anchor points I think at the top of the back door. They're all over the roof & on the back of the middle row seats in my car.
To buy a seat, make sure you put it in, put her in it & put the seatbelt around it. So you know if it all fits right before you buy

I will have to check the manual i think as the rear seat is a fold up seat which is built in.
I hafve a 7 seater Toyota Kluger KX-R (if you find any info) - i am assuming with the rules in vic i should be able to have a booster seat from 4yrs old in there as lond as it doesn't have an anchor strap.
There are no anchor points in the rear of the kluger.

We have the Babylove Ezi lift and we are really happy with it, its solid and can accommodate dd who is tall and growing fast. HTH

It does help, thanks hun... it rated quite well in the CREP this year considering it's not anchored.
