Well my DD has colic and silent reflux and last week came down with a cold... I went to the chemist to see what i could get and when i mentioned DD was on Zantac the women started to tell me all the nastys about zantac and what it does to the liver...
She suggested Brauers stomach calm and colic relief. She also mentioned Inner health plus (IH+ ) ... (for me as i'm BF)
Well to my surprise after 3 days of using both colic relief before 1 feed and stomach calm the next feed (alternating the 2) and me taking the IH+ we are now completly zantac free and my baby girl has been a blessing. She had a 3 hour sleep today (shock horror usually has cat naps 10-20 mins) i cannot believe the difference it has made. today there was no screaming she was FANTASTIC... I'm hoping i'm not speaking too soon but the last 2 days have been great... even the 1sat day was better then normal. We have noticed a major improvment.
I will definatley be recommending Brauers to everyone.
They make teething relief, cold and flu (which wored wonders also) pain and fever relief and a few more... and the best thing is there a natural medicine.
Jess, how did you get her to take it?
I tried to give DS some of the stomach calm yesterday and he just got this horrid look on his face and spat it out. I tried some and it has a rather nasty bitter aftertaste, so can't blame him
Marcellus- i found any meds for DD would make her give me this horrid look.. she HATES taking meds... i just add a little EBM so it gives her the taste.. i also noticed she hated them cos they werent warm like milk... Now i heat them and add the EBM it makes it a little easier... She has days where she'll still spit it out. The brauers dropper is long and skinny so if you put it way back in the mouth (to cause the gag reflex... i know sounds aweful) she usually swollows it 1st go.
They also make a great little helper for mums too called Nervatona, GREAT if you are having a bad day and the stress is getting at you. Calming and relaxing without the side effects of a glass of wine.
I have bought the teething relief, but I am not sure if it is really helping. The instructions on the bottle says to give a dose every half hour for 4 doses then one dose 4 hourly after that. Do you have to do that every day that you give it to them? I always forget to give it to him half hourly at first, LOL, and only remember to give him some when he is in obvious pain, will it still work like this?
Hi mums im only new to this but can you give the cold and flu remedy to a 4 month old? im going to get some to try on my 2.5 year old, im sick of giving her the others that donnt do anything!!!
Kanda... It can cause nausea, vomiting (what we wanted to try and stop) , constipation or diarroea, skin rashes, Liver issues like jandice, kidney issues, fever, wheezing,
thats all that i can remember ATM
2 princesses- Yeas Brauers can be used from from under 6 months its just 1 ml every 1/2 hour for 4 doses and every 4 hours after that. ( the every 1/2 hour is to get it in the system)
Also you could try a vapouriser or some chest rub on bubs singlet.
