How much does your bub sleep at night?

    Helllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooo

Just wondering if DS is getting enough sleep at night. He has a day sleep still from 11.30 to around 1pm (some days can sleep till 2.30 or 3, but these are rare).

The last couple of days, he has been asking to be put to bed early - like 9am - but we have been dismissing it - and if he's distracted he is fine and doesn't ask again, and then crashes straight away at 11.30.

We have changed his bedtime from 8.30 to 8.00 and he starts asking for bed around 7.30.

He gets up at 6am (or just before).

So I'm just wondering, if he goes to bed at 8 and up at 6.. is that enough sleep? Together with his day sleep?

    He's nearly 21 months old...

Thats not all that different to what Aiden is doing now.. except he still refuses to sleep thru.

Sounds alright hun - Izzy goes down at 7-730 and wakes up from 6-7 most days. Usually closer to 7 though and has one 1 1/2 day nap. Myabe he is going through a bit of a growth/development spurt too hun and is feelng a bit more tired....

Do they go through a growth spurt at this time? I'm a bit uneducated as to the growth spurts after about 4 months.. LOL

Yeah, Mel, I think they start going though a growth spurt round 2yo (mine all have so far!!) and Aricyn's not that far off 2. Khaemon is 2.5 and goes to bed around 7-7.30pm and is up at 6am (most days - sometimes he'll go through to 7-7.30am!) BUT he doesn't sleep during the day anymore (unless he is sick or really buggered! Or if he is being unmanageable, I'll put him to bed! ) People think I'm nuts when they ask how long he sleeps during the day and I say he doesn't! They seem to pity me, but DS1 stopped day sleeps at like 7 or 8 months! He just wouldn't sleep!

I'm sure Aricyn is getting enough sleep though hun!

At around 23/24 months Nina went through a huge growth spurt.
Nina will sleep 11-12 hours a night without waking.
I reckon he's getting enough sleep. Each person is different with the amount of sleep they need each night. I know some kids that need 10-12 hours of sleep a night, where others only need 8-10. He'll sleep as much as he needs. If he's asking for bed at 7.30, put him to bed at that time, and see what time he sleeps till.
