Hey Celsie!
My DD had big lumps too and took a few days (maybe almost a week??) to go away..
Poor Caeleb..not nice is it..
Caeleb just had his 6 month immunisations. The two spots on his legs where the needles were injected were red yesterday, but that has gone away. I ran my fingers over the two areas and noticed that there is a large lump beneath the skin under each spot. Is this normal? If so, how long till it goes away?

The lumps from Angus took about A MONTH TO GO AWAY!! Don;t stress, perfectly normal!
yep we had them aswell.. i just massaged them
Emily had them too, one lasted longer than the other, but it was there for about three weeks.
Thank you all for your replies. It's reassuring to know it's normal. I was quite worried, as they feel really horrible. Does anyone know what they are?

I did a baby massage course with Pinky & massaging a baby within a week (or so from memory) of immunisations is not recommended, so I'd not suggest massaging the lumps...
Thanks for that information Tracey, that's very good to know.

I guess the lumps would be just a bit of swelling and inflammation due to the trauma and vaccine..that's my guess!
Yeah, that's what I'd guess as well, but I wasn't sure. Thank you Lee:-)!
Thank you to all who replied.

Joshua also had the lumps and they went away in just over a week.
A friend (who is a vet ) told me its a common side effect.
