Ok, so Seven is now due for her 1st lot of immunisations.
I am wanting to delay them until she is 2yrs old and then give them in a certain way, and not necessarily all of them
DF is pro-vaccination.
Seven did not have HepB at birth.
There is SO much information for about immunisations that it's doing my head in. I'm not in for conspiracy theories, and I have made this decision for my own reasons, not anyone elses.
I obviously still have to discuss it in full with DF.
I received this 'user friendly' schedule from a friend and want to know what others think.
No vaccines until 2yrs - child can develop their own 'healthy' immune system first.
No vaccines that contain mercury or thiomersal - I know its minimal nowadays but the less the better.
No live virus vaccines - unless smallpox becomes an issue again.
These vaccines, 1 at a time, not combined, 6 months apart.
* Pertussis (whooping cough), acellular, not whole cell
* Diptheria
* Tetanus
* Polio (salk vaccine, cultured in Human Cells)
Unfortunately this is from an American site and might not be viable in Australia, but I cannot find another alternative or delaying vaccination information that works for me.
I just wish this was an easy decision to make.
*sigh*
Time to go off to find more info for DF to read about how vaccines are made, how effective they are and the chances of catching the disease if we don't vaccinate.
If anyone has any other info or websites for me to go to, I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks.
