DH & I used to do shifts. He had work during the day so I went to bed early & he did the premidnight settling before going to bed. Then I would get up between midnight & the morning & try to have a nap in the day if I could. Im surprised we got thru some nights without nervous breakdowns. But you come out the other side ok... Aside from s few involuntary twitches & a fear of having more children

It'll get better, my DD#2 is now 12 months and still wakes up overnight. Only once or twice now but at 9 months was still waking at least 3 times a night.

DD didn't sleep well until she was 2, now we get 4 or 5 good nights a week

I remember thinknig the same when DD was about that age - 4-5wake ups and at the time it felt like forever, but looking back it was quite a small time in the scheme of things. She now goes 4-5nights a week without waking up, and she started sleeping thru like this around the 18month mark.

But saying that, DS has been waking up a minimum of 3 times since he was 4months old, and I can't yet see the light at the end of the tunnell...just need to remember "this too shall pass"
