Red face Question about boy bits!

mmmm well, how do i put this????

My 2 1/2 year old's bit are really very small, they still look like a babies, not in proportion to his body. I think his testes have dropped as sometimes i can see things in the 'sac' but he just looks so small down there compared to my older boy - in fact i can't remember Oscar EVER being that small down there even when he was a baby. So what is normal and how do you know? If we're talking actual length of his penis i think it's only around an inch to an inch and a half.

I'm reluctant to take him to the drs as he understands everything i say and i don't want to give him a complex. I've been abit concerned for a while and dh just said he will grow but then a few weeks ago even he said maybe we should take him to the drs as he thinks he is underdeveloped.

Am i being daft worrying about this now or do you think he will grow. All my friends' boys around that age look so much bigger.

Let me know what you think especially if you've had boys. Thanks

I have no idea if it's normal or not! Could you ring your MCHN when he isn't in the room listening? Hopefully she would be able to give you some advice over the phone.

    Hi,
I'm pretty sure it's all perfectly normal. My DS#1 has always had a small penis compared to DS#2 which is probably double the size. I also was concerned like you and I did ask my GP who said when he reaches puberty it will grow. Well he has now reached puberty but I have no idea on the size as everything is very private now lol.

    Regards,

I think Trish's idea is a good one, even speak to the docter next time you are there even if without him.

It could very well just be "normal", after all we all come in different shapes and sizes. My nephew who is 3 months younger then Alex has absolutely TINY bits when we see them both side by side, whereas Alex's look huge in comparison.

Does it really matter? Unless he has a medical issue that is preventing it from growing (which I really doubt) then I fail to see why there should be any concern - your boobs are going to be a different size to someone elses, and it's the same with penis' - they can't all be the same size, even between brothers.

    Thanks for your responses.

Trillian - I'm not worried as to whether he going to have a comparitively large or small one when he's older, thats not the issue - the issue that does worry me is whether there is a developement problem as it doesnt seem to have grown since he was a baby whereas the rest of him has kwim?

Well not having two boy I cant speck for myself but a GF of mine who has two said her boys are too different sizes and no two men are created equal... So maybe he just going to be a wee bit smaller than his brother.... I would worry about it to much compare to DS size his is tinny winny but I am sure it too will grow ...

The good thing about boys is no one but himself and his Partner ( when he is older enough ) will know his size even you will never know what size he becomes...

Unlike two girls if one has boobs and the other doesnt everyone knows...
